Microsoft’s developer toolset for Excel is now available for download, starting on March 13.
Excel Studio is the new “development” edition, and its new developer mode allows users to create and edit their own custom styles for all of their Excel documents, even if they’re already using the Microsoft OneNote app.
“With the Excel Developer Tools, you can make the best of the existing Excel software and customize it to suit your needs,” Microsoft said in a blog post.
“The ability to customize your Excel document and customize your own styles is a great way to create new and unique worksheets that will stand out from the crowd.”
The Excel Developer Toolkit (EDT) also includes a new “Extensive Previews” feature that lets you create and share your own custom worksheet designs with your coworkers, friends, or even the rest of the Microsoft community.
In addition to a new Developer Mode for Excel, the Excel Designer toolkit also comes with an improved design interface and improved “Customization” tab, so you can save and share custom worksheet designs.
